Storage

Storage facilities are for customers, either not wishing to install security cabinets at home, or who reside overseas and wish to hold their weapons in the UK for shoots.

Terms and conditions for storage of weapons:
Updated October 2005

CHARGES
• Standard charge for single weapons is £160 inc VAT per annum or part thereof.
• Standard charge for a pair of guns or two weapons in one case is £195 inc VAT per annum or part thereof.
• Said charges include insurance cover for the first £1,000 value of each item in storage.

INSURANCE
Any weapons valued in excess of £1,000 will carry an additional insurance charge.
The charge is calculated as follows: 1% of the balance remaining over and above the first £1,000 of the full valuation figure. Where applicable this charge is listed separately on the invoice.
Full settlement of the invoice implies your acceptance of the insurance values quoted in the Terms and Conditions as set out hereto.
• The storage year commences 1st May and ends 30th April the following year.
Storage is payable 12 months in advance and is for the year or any part thereof.
We are obliged to charge insurance whether you have personal insurance on your weapons or not.

PAYMENT
All cheques should be made payable to J Roberts & Son (Gunmakers) Ltd. Failure to pay for two consecutive years storage will render the weapons liable for sale in order to defray costs. Any expenses incurred in the sale (e.g. advertising, transportation costs, auction commission or the like) as well as our administration charge will be deducted from the proceeds of the sale. Any balance will be sent in cheque form and made payable to the client at their last known address. For this reason, prompt settlement of invoices would be appreciated.

No weapons may be removed from our premises without payment in full of any outstanding invoices and sight of a current valid shotgun or firearms certificate, whichever may be relevant for the weapon in question. It is illegal for us to hand over any weapon without sight of an original current certificate.

Please note that we require at least one week's notice in writing of a client's intention to remove their weapons from storage.
